The larger the tiger eye bead, the more of the fibre structure sits on the exposed surface, and the more pronounced the moving band becomes. At 12 and 14 mm the effect is unmistakable — the highlight rolls across the stone as the wrist turns.
The strand is sized for a larger wrist: about 19 to 21 cm internal circumference, against 17 to 19 for the standard sizes. Beads are cut to face the fibre direction, so the band lines up along the strand rather than across it.
