Why We Built This
BaZi and the Five Elements survived two thousand years of Chinese history for a reason: they offer a genuinely useful language for thinking about character, timing, and change. Yet most English-language resources are either overly commercial ("guaranteed soulmate readings!") or locked behind expensive consultations.
We wanted something different: a thoughtful, honest, and free starting point for anyone curious about what their birth moment says in this tradition — presented with respect for where it comes from.
Our Method
Calculation. Charts are cast using the classical sexagenary calendar with solar-term boundaries — the astronomical backbone that separates careful BaZi work from casual approximations. Our engine processes the conversion from Gregorian birth dates to Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, including hidden stems and ten-year luck cycles.
Interpretation. Our readings are generated from a curated knowledge base built on classical frameworks: the Day Master system, element balance analysis, Ten Gods relationship patterns, and favorable-element theory. We deliberately keep interpretations reflective rather than predictive — mirrors, not fortune cookies.
