A carved miniature abacus is a common charm in Chinese shops and cars: the suan pan reduced to something you can hold in two fingers, with the beads still sliding. This one is sandalwood, carved and assembled rather than moulded.
Sandalwood has a faint scent when fresh that fades over time; the wood also darkens with handling. About 80 g including the tassel. Because it contains small parts and a cord, keep it away from young children.
