A table runner is the cheapest way to change the character of a room, and the cloud motif used here is one of the oldest recurrences in Chinese textile design — it appears on silk, on porcelain and on lacquer in forms that shift slowly over centuries.
Cotton-linen, printed with reactive dyes, which bond to the fibre rather than sitting on top of it and hold up better through washing than pigment prints. Both ends are hand-turned and stitched. Wash cold and iron on the reverse.
