A car charm has to survive being shaken, cooked in summer and frozen in winter, and brass handles all three better than most materials — it neither cracks nor fades, it just dulls. This is a small solid casting, about 2.8 cm tall, on a short cord.
Brass does carry more momentum than wood when the car is moving, so hang it short rather than long. Patina develops with handling; a dry cloth brings the shine back if you want it.
