An open or adjustable band solves the sizing problem, and it creates a different one: silver work-hardens as it flexes, and a band adjusted every day will eventually crack at the thinnest point. Set it once and leave it.
The Pixiu is cast into the face of the ring rather than applied, so there is no joint to catch hair. The overall weight is about eight grams of silver. Recesses are deliberately oxidised; the high points will polish brighter with wear.
