A personal seal is the traditional Chinese alternative to a signature, and the format has been stable for a very long time: a square base cut in relief or intaglio, with a knop above to hold it. This one is nephrite jade.
We engrave up to four characters into the base — a name, a studio name, or two characters and a seal script variant. Send the characters at checkout and we will confirm the layout before cutting, since the stone is only engraved once. Comes with a fitted box and a small tin of seal paste.
