Selling a cushion cover rather than a cushion is a deliberate choice: a 45 cm insert is mostly air, and shipping air across an ocean is expensive. The cover folds flat, the buyer supplies the insert, and the price stays reasonable.

Stonewashed linen, which is preshrunk and has a slightly irregular surface from the outset rather than a stiff one that softens over months. All five colours are the ones the Five Elements scheme assigns to wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Concealed zip; machine wash cold.
