A "point" is a crystal that has been allowed to keep its natural termination — the shaped tip where the crystal finished growing — rather than being cut and polished into a tower. Natural points are therefore all different in height, width and quality of tip, and some have chips where they were separated from the matrix.
The citrine in this set is heat-treated amethyst. Most citrine sold anywhere is, and we label ours accordingly rather than letting it pass as the naturally occurring material, which is rare and priced well beyond this set.
We sell the five together because the set is the point of it: the five-element scheme works as a complete arrangement, and a customer choosing one stone from five would be buying a different object. If you want to see the stone you actually need, our Five-Element Test recommends one — and that recommendation is a cultural reading, not a diagnosis.
