A fortune tree is a wire armature with small polished stones wired into it, stood on a stone slab. This one uses citrine chips — and it is worth being direct about what that means. In the jewellery trade, almost all affordable citrine is amethyst that has been heated: the heat drives off colour centres and the purple turns gold. It is stable, permanent and standard practice, but it is not "untreated citrine," so we label it.
Branches are tinned wire and can be sharp at the tips. The base is polished agate, so the piece stands flat. Straighten the branches gently by hand if they deform in transit.
